The Hoosier Hills Career Center invites all area students and families to the College and Career Pathway Fair on Monday, October 27 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Hoosier Hills Career Center, 3070 N. Prow Rd. At the fair, students can explore many educational pathways that lead to college degrees and careers. They can speak with instructors, observe students working in labs and classrooms, and speak with college, industry, and military representatives.

As a regional career and technical education center, the Hoosier Hills Career Center offers both the career training and academic coursework required for students to be successful in careers today.

“As the Area #36 Career and Technical Education Center, Hoosier Hills integrates rigorous academics with hands-on technical training to prepare students for employment, postsecondary enrollment and enlistment,” said Christy Wrightsman, director of the Hoosier Hills Career Center. “We emphasize strong academic foundations that align with employer needs because today’s technical careers require critical thinking, an interest in continual learning, and strong communication skills.”

The Hoosier Hills Career Center offers programs in Agriculture, Automotive Collision Repair, Automotive Technology, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Architectural and Mechanical Drafting and Design, Education Professions, Emergency Medical Services, Fire and Rescue, Health Science Education, Engineering, and Welding.

Through these programs, students can earn industry-recognized certifications that will allow them to directly enter the workforce.  They can also earn dual credits and college credentials, including certificates and technical certificates, from Ivy Tech Community College and Vincennes University.
