BLOOMINGTON, IN — April Hennessey, President of the Monroe County Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees, served as the corporation’s voting delegate at the 2025 Delegate Assembly of the Indiana School Boards Association (ISBA).
Delegates approved the Association’s budget for next year, the 2026 Legislative Priorities and Foundational Statements as recommended by school board members who served on the ISBA Legislative Committee, and a slate of officers and directors for the ISBA Board of Directors.
The Delegate Assembly meets annually to conduct the business of the Association. The 2025 Delegate Assembly convened on September 15 at the Indiana Convention Center. Each school board in Indiana with membership in the ISBA is entitled to send one school board member to the Delegate Assembly to consider and vote on the business matters of the Association. Currently, all 290 school corporations in the State of Indiana are members of ISBA.
“The school board members who served as delegates this year are to be commended for their dedication and service,” said ISBA Executive Director Terry Spradlin. “Their decisions help support all school board members and ensure that their membership association continues to thrive.”
