MCCSC to host Pre-K and Kindergarten Open House

Funding available for Pre-K through MCCSC Early Learning Referendum

Parents and guardians with children turning 4 or 5 years old by August 1, 2026 are invited to the Monroe County Community School Corporation (MCCSC) Pre-K and Kindergarten Open House. The event will be held on Tuesday, February 10 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at all MCCSC elementary schools. The event offers families a chance to explore schools and ask questions after Pre-K and Kindergarten enrollment opens on February 2.

    During the event, families can:

    • Meet current pre-K and kindergarten teachers
    • Meet the principal and other staff
    • Visit pre-K and kindergarten classrooms
    • Explore a typical pre-K and kindergarten day
    • Get answers to questions
    • Meet other parents and students
    • See the school and campus

Families can also learn more about Pre-K education. Thanks to public support for MCCSC’s 2023 Referendum, every MCCSC-districted family qualifies for assistance that covers at least half the cost of 4-year-old Pre-K programs—regardless of income. This applies to all MCCSC and partner provider Pre-K programs: Bloomington Center for Global Children, Bloomington Developmental Learning Center, New Hope Early Learning Center, Penny Lane Child Care, and Indiana University Bloomington Campus Children’s Center and Hoosier Courts Nursery School.

Information about the event and MCCSC schools can be found at mccsc.edu/openhouse.
