Jon Holmes, Bloomington South High School alum and current assistant coach at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio), has been named to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame’s 2024 Men’s Silver Anniversary Team. This honor recognizes Holmes exceptional high school basketball career 25 years after his graduation.
Holmes was one of the top players in the Class of 1999, earning a spot on the prestigious 1999 Indiana All-Star squad. He set several school records, including career points (1,536) and assists (382), and earned numerous all-state honors. His achievements also included being named to the AP First-Team All-State and winning the Wooden/MCL Citizenship Award for his leadership on and off the court.
Holmes is one of 18 honorees on the 2024 Silver Anniversary Team, which also includes other top players from the Class of 1999, such as Mr. Basketball Jason Gardner, Brad Borgman, Jermaine Dearman, and Faruk Mujezinovic. These athletes, all of whom went on to achieve great things in basketball, were celebrated for their outstanding high school careers at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame’s 62nd Men’s Awards Banquet on March 20, 2024.
