MCCSC Board of School Trustees Annual Finance & Reorganizational Meeting

    BLOOMINGTON, IND. – At tonight’s annual organizational meeting, The Board of School Trustees elected the 2024 Officers. At the first meeting in January each year the Board organizes itself by electing officers.

    In other business, The Board of School Trustees approved the calendar of regular meetings for 2024 and January 2025. All meetings will be on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm unless otherwise indicated. The annual calendar in no way
    restricts the Board’s ability to establish special meetings, executive sessions, work sessions, or retreats, provided it gives the notice required by statute.

    In other business, The Board of School Trustees approved the Board Member Compensation for the Year 2024. Board members shall receive $2,000.00 as basic compensation for their services each year in two equal installments of
    $1,000.00 each in June and December. Board members will receive a per diem of $112.00 for each regular meeting attended and a per diem of $62.00 for each additional meeting attended.

    In other business, John Kenny, Director of Business Operations presented to the Board the Investing Officer’s Report and the Financial Condition Report which are required by State Law during the annual meeting. The Investing Officer’s Report
    must provide the name of each financial institution with whom the school corporation invested money during the previous calendar year. The Financial Condition Report must assess the financial condition of the school corporation using the fiscal and qualitative indicators determined under I.C. 20-19-7-4 by the fiscal and qualitative indicators committee.
